V8 6.2L MAX’D Stage 3 2020 Jeep Gladiator JT Overland 4×4

Vehicle Overview

Out of Max’d Vehicles Shop Team 6 from Maximum Elevation Off-Road in Paris, Texas is a lifted Gladiator that we think could be the most capable built Gladiator in the world right now. We started with a BRAND NEW 2020 Jeep Gladiator JT Overland 4×4 in graphite metallic with 2 miles on the odometer. To begin the build process we teamed up with Bruiser Conversions and snagged up one of their first 6.2L LS3 engine swaps for the Gladiator. We had already swapped a few JL Wranglers with this combination and knew this was the right engine for the build. Camshaft, throttle body, CAI, and some custom tuning pushes this engine around 550 Horsepower. A full 3″ Borla exhaust gives this truck an intimidating growl that any Hemi should be afraid of. After the swap was complete we then matched the drivetrain with a pair of Dana Ultimate 60 axles front and rear. Inside the axles are 5.38 gears and Eaton E-Lockers front and rear, chromolly shafts, Warn lock out hubs, monster 1 ton disc brakes, and stainless steel braided brakes lines on all four corners. Schaeffers Severe Gear synthetic fluid keep the diff temps down and everything lubricated. Custom built, bullet proof, driveshafts with 1410 u-joints from a local hot spot complete this swap. On the front axle we added 2.5 ton aluminum steering from Fusion 4×4 and a King steering stabilizer. Bolted to these axles is a full set of 42×14.50r17 Goodyear Wrangler MTR tires with Kevlar and Method 17×10 beadlock wheels. The suspension is a Rebel Offroad DSS (dual shock system) King 2.5″ coil over conversion in the front with King triple bypass shocks and Evo MFG mid arms with Currie Johnny Joints. In the rear we decided to keep the heritage of the Gladiator as a truck and installed a pair of Rock Krawler coil springs with King shocks and Evo MFG mid arms with Currie Johnny Joints This keeps the towing capability of the Gladiator but still compliments the offroad performance that the front DSS offers. Once the driving force of the Gladiator was complete we then teamed up with Bodyguard Bumpers and installed their new RX Series line of steel armor. This includes front bumper with a Warn 12K winch and synthetic rope loaded with Diode Dynamics 6″ light bar and side clearance lights, rear bumper with Diode Dynamics reverse lights, full length rock sliders, front and rear fender flares and fender liners. All of the armor is powder coated in texture black with gold color matched accents and the fender liners are gloss black to reflect the Diode Dynamics rock lights. In addition to the rest of the Diode Dynamics lighting we added a 50″ windshield light bar with Bodyguard RX mounts and a 50″ hood light bar. On top of the truck we added the Bodyguard RX Series roof rack with Diode Dynamics lighting on the side and 30″ light bar out back. On the front of the roof rack is a 20″ Wet Sounds Bluetooth sound bar that projects almost 100 yards. We tried to change the scene with “party in the front, business in the back”. On the bed we installed a Diamond Back HD bed cover in a texture finish and underneath is a Bed Rug carpeted bed liner and in bed LED lighting. Inside of the Gladiator is fairly untouched as this Gladiator was ordered hard loaded. Tan leather seats with black carpet and accents, heated seats and steering wheel, Alpine stereo system with 10″ sub woofer, 10″ navigation, back up camera, park assist, lane assist, cruise control, power windows/locks, removeable hard top, factory tow package and LED lighting group. Every light on this Gladiator is LED. And to finish of this project we installed a sPod 4×4 electrical control system with LCD screen. This unit controls all of the lighting and the front and rear electric lockers. We added our signature MEO to the headrest along with some custom badging and matte black vinyl to make this Gladiator one of a kind. EVERYTHING on this Gladiator functions as it would from the factory and is a blast to drive. There are no glitches or demons. This truck went into the shop with a few miles on the odometer and now has around 550 miles. We have used the 550 miles to test and tune and work out any issues that arrise with a build like this. Oh, and dont forget about the Husky floor liners front and rear. This Gladiator was a SEMA 2019 Feature Vehicle in the Bodyguard Bumpers booth. In the near future it can be found in Four Wheeler and LFTDxLVLD magazines.
